HANOVER, Va. – Just before 2:00 a.m. today deputies with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded to 6689 Cold Harbor Road, 7-11 Convenience Store, for a reported stabbing. It was determined that two individuals got into a verbal altercation at the 7-11 which turned into a physical altercation. The victim was stabbed twice by the suspect and transported to the Medical College of Virginia with non-life threatening injuries. The victim sustained one stab wound in the abdomen and one stab wound in the right leg.
The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. The suspect, Jeffrey Earl Post, 49, of Richmond City, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and drunk in public. Post is being held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail in Hanover County.
