Hanover, Va. – On Monday, December 20, 2021, at approximately 5:22 a.m., deputies received a call for a suspicious male in the 5000 block of Mantilo Creek Drive. The complainant stated they saw a male rifling through their vehicle in the driveway. Deputies quickly arrived on scene, obtained a description of the male subject and found that several vehicles had been rummaged through within the neighborhood.
While deputies were canvassing the area an unoccupied vehicle was observed parked on the side of the roadway within walking distance of the neighborhood. A short while later, a subject matching the description of the suspicious male was located near the vehicle.
The male was identified as Damon Marville Winston, 21, of Glen Allen. He was also found to be in possession of numerous stolen items. Winston was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny (x2), Vandalism, Entering or setting in motion a vehicle and Breaking & Entering (F).
Items were stolen from over 10 vehicles and a detached garage.
