HANOVER, Va. – On Friday July 12th, between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 13th, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office anticipates traffic congestion along Pole Green Road, between I-295 and Walnut Grove Road, due to the Hanover Tomato Festival. Citizens are encouraged to plan in advance to avoid traffic delays that will be caused by this event.
“We anticipate heavy congestion in this area for this event. Deputies will be directing traffic at key intersections along Pole Green Road, as well as monitoring several others, to ensure traffic flows as quickly and safely as possible. We would greatly appreciate your patience as our deputies work to ensure the safety of all motorists during this special event,” said Colonel David R. Hines, Sheriff.
It is the goal of the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office to facilitate the safe flow of traffic for this special event in such a way that causes minimal inconvenience to our citizens.
