Hanover, VA – Earlier today, 12 of the Sheriff’s Office’s newest recruits graduated from the Hanover County Criminal Justice Academy at a ceremony held at Life Church in Mechanicsville.
Colonel David R. Hines, Sheriff, delivered an address to the graduates, as well as presented them with their certificates and awards. Ten of the graduates will enter into their final phase of their training as patrol deputies where they will spend at least 15 weeks with a field training officer. Two graduates will receive additional training as court service deputies.
In addition to the Hanover graduates, two recruits from the Goochland County Sheriff’s Office graduated from the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Justice Academy.
