UPDATE: On July 5, 2018, Hanover County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested and charged Roger Dale Lloyd, 56, of Richmond, with Grand Larceny in connection to the copper thefts that occurred on Old Washington Highway between the dates of June 16, 2018, and July 2, 2018.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our community partners and the media for sharing this information which ultimately led to his apprehension.

Hanover, Va. – The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual pictured below.
Between the dates of June 16, 2018, and July 2, 2018, a theft of copper occurred in the 10400 block of Old Washington Highway. Since June 16, 2018, over 500 pounds of copper has been stolen from that location. The individual pictured below is believed to be involved in these thefts.
Anyone with information about this incident, or who can identify this suspect, is asked to contact the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at (804) 365-6140 or the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. Citizens can also download the “P3 Tips” app for their mobile devices to submit their tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
