Update 7/12/2015:

The driver killed in yesterday’s incident was 50-year-old Robin M. Adams of the Doswell area of Hanover County.

Initial Release:

Hanover Va. – On July 11 just after 5:00 p.m. a falling tree stuck two vehicles traveling on West Patrick Henry Road one half mile east of Blanton Road killing one driver and injuring another driver.

A tree on the north side of the roadway broke in half and fell onto the roadway onto a west bound 2010 Chevrolet Camero occupied by a 50-year-old female from Doswell, VA. The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased at the scene. An east bound 2008 Honda CRV was also struck and the driver and sole occupant was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries received in the accident.

The identification of the deceased driver will be made when Investigators ensure that all family have been properly notified.
