UPDATE- Investigators have charged two individuals for Grand Larceny in regard to the stolen vehicles and larcenies from vehicles that occurred on Wednesday, October 12 into the early morning hours of Thursday, October 13.
On Friday, October 14, Investigators charged a 15-year-old juvenile from Richmond with Grand Larceny in connection to the larceny of a vehicle that occurred in the Hanover Grove subdivision. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Richmond Juvenile Detention Center. The vehicle has also been recovered.
On Saturday, October 15, Investigators arrested and charged Timothy Garnett Covington, 32, of Richmond, with one count of Grand Larceny and two counts of Larceny- 3rd offense in connection to larcenies from vehicles that occurred in the Hanover Crossings Apartment complex. Covington was held without bond and is currently incarcerated at the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
Investigators do not believe the two incidents are related at this time.
“I am extremely proud of the teamwork displayed between our deputies and investigators, working together to identify victims and quickly apprehend these suspects. Because of their quick work, investigators were able to recover most of the stolen property,” said Colonel David R. Hines, sheriff.
