On June 5, 1990 Ferguson and Sherrin, both of Richmond, were discovered deceased in the woods directly behind the commuter Park and Ride in Old Town Mechanicsville. Both were last seen alive on May 18, 1990 by the roommates of Jim Sherrin at his residence on South Vine St. in the Fan.
