Solicitor's Permit

Solicitors in Hanover County must have a permit to go door to door or location to location to sell any goods or services or accept subscriptions or orders. Fingerprints and a photo will be taken before a permit is issued. There is a $20 fee. Please see detailed information on how to get a permit and the required application (PDF).

Organizations that require multiple solicitor permits for employees are requested to contact 804-365-6110 to make an appointment and limit each appointment to 3 employees.
